The Diman Math Team was invited to Worcester Polytechnic Institute’s 30th Annual Math Meet on Tuesday, October 17th.  This was the first invitation ever extended to Diman Regional for this prestigious competition.

WPI limited the event to only four students per district, and Marcus Banoub, Lisa Reed, Jorge Padron, and Austin Souza represented Diman well.  Eighty-five high schools from Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New Hampshire competed and Diman was one of only three vocational-technical high schools in attendance.

Diman is proud of the Math Team for excelling while competing against various public schools and private academies.  Congratulations to Marcus Banoub for earning a $1,000 scholarship to WPI for his performance during the individual competition.
