Diman is pleased to announce the donation of computers for our Machine Tool Technology program. The donation will be funded by the Diman Bengal Education Foundation, with a significant $1,000 kickoff donation from Colleen Franco.
Franco presented the donation to the Diman Bengal Education Foundation to kick off the 3rd Annual Clam Boil event on April 4 in honor of her late husband, Thomas. He was a 1972 graduate of Diman’s machine shop and was an outstanding two-sport athlete. Working in his chosen trade for many years and then for the Fall River Catholic Diocese in church maintenance, he recently passed from a long challenge with dementia.
This fund raising event will once again support a project at the school. Selected this year is the renovation of the related classroom for the machine shop. To purchase tickets for the event which is held at the S. Seekonk Gun Club, contact a foundation board member (entire 20 members can be viewed at dbef.net), foundation secretary Edward Hill at 508-965-8571 or Jeanne Hill at Diman by calling 508-678-2891, ext 1130.
