Diman DECA success

Diman's DECA team

Diman DECA would like to recognize the members who competed at the Massachusetts DECA 63rd state competition in Boston on the weekend of March 12, 2022. Diman sent 14 members to this conference to compete in various business and entrepreneur events.  We would like to congratulate Culinary Arts seniors Makayla Goncalves and Jahayra Wilches for placing second in the School Based Enterprise in Food.

We would also like to congratulate the following members for earning spots in DECA's International Conference to be held in Atlanta Georgia this April: Abby Santos, Kaitlyn Nickelson, Catherine Howard, Mya Canuel, Madison Pereira, Makayla Goncalves, Jahayra Wilches, Kayla Pacheco, Gia Landry, and Inez Medeiros. Good luck to all of you!

Others who competed in events in this conference were seniors Gia Landry, Kayla Pacheco, Adam Vaillancourt, Marissa Dumont, Guadalupe Garcia, Gabriela Hernandez, and Isabela Soares, as well as juniors, Livia Ferreira, Sadie Krauzyk, Ethan McKenna, Madison Pereira, and Sophomore, Inez Medeiros.

And a special thank you to Mrs. Collins and Mrs. Santos for taking time out of their lives to help chaperone this event.

If anyone is interested in joining DECA for next year's chance to compete in Boston and Orlando, please see Mr. Machado or any of the current DECA members. This is a great way to learn about business,  becoming your own entrepreneur, competing with your friends from Durfee, Case, Westport, or Somerset, or even just meeting new people. For rising seniors, this is an excellent addition to your college resume.

Congratulations again to everyone and go Diman Bengals!
