In its first year as an extracurricular activity, 15 students qualified to attend Business Professionals of America nationals in California. Six of those students were finalists in their respective competitions.
Joey Pereira placed 3rd in "Linux Operating System Fundamentals." Olivia Medeiros placed 4th in the "Computer Modeling" event. Lylah Thibeault placed 9th in her "Prepared Speech" competition. The "Visual Design Team," consisting of Aidan Santos, Luke Lawton, and Lilly Carneiro, placed 11th overall in their competition. All finalists came home with a medal, and Joey received a plaque for his placement in 3rd.
All the students worked very hard to get there, and placing in the top 10 in the country is an amazing achievement.
