    Dental students at 2023 Yankee Dental Conference

    Students and instructors from Diman's Dental Assisting program attended Yankee Dental Convention in Boston on Jan 26, 2023. In total, 36 students and four instructors explored over 100 exhibitor booths to speak to dental professionals and learn about new products and technologies in the dental field.

    Diman just won a $2.5 million grant. Here's what they plan to spend it on.

    Diman Regional has won a major grant that will bring new equipment to two programs in fast-growing industries. “For Diman to receive this amount of money is special,” said Andrew Rebello, the school’s principal. “This is really gonna expand the ceiling of opportunity for students.” (9/28/22)

    ‘Top notch’ work from Diman students on key piece of city infrastructure

    A group of Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School students saw the fruits of their labors materialized in a dramatic way on Friday when a project they had worked on for a year -- replacing vital sluice gates that help control the flow of water from the Quequechan River -- became an integral part of the city’s infrastructure for decades to come.   •  Operation Christmas

    "Operation Chrismas" yields nearly 300 toys

    Students and staff from Dental Assisting and Culinary Arts teamed together to keep up the tradition of the Annual Toy Drive which was started many years ago by Mrs. Maria Torres. Close to 300 toys will be donated to “Operation Christmas”, the annual toy giveaway at Citizens for Citizens, who have about 4,000 people signed up to receive toys, all of whom signed up in advance. Culinary Arts department donated the profits from the annual gingerbread house event to Diman’s Key Club, who donated the proceeds back to the toy drive. Culinary Arts department also held a raffle in Room 251. The Dental Assisting program have been collecting toys in the shop and faculty members have been very generous. (12/14/18)

    The generosity of Diman’s Dental Assisting program is well-known, so it should come as no surprise that they started the current school year with two charitable events in the first month. First, students and staff lent a hand in the annual Dentistry from the Heart program in Seekonk, then another group of students and staff participated in the Health First Second Annual 3-mile Walkathon.     Diman’s Dental Assisting program is at it again. Just six months after raising $750 to provide cleft lip surgery for three children in the third world, the department has donated 294 toothbrushes and 93 tubes of toothpaste to be sent to Honduras. (4/14/16)

    Swansea student to sing for SkillsUSA

    Diman is thrilled to announce that junior Dental Assisting student Brittney Batista has been chosen as the winner of the National Anthem Contest for SkillsUSA. Brittney will sing the National Anthem at the 2016 State Leadership & Skills Conference on Saturday, April 30th in front of a live audience of over 5,000 and to thousands that will be watching the live streaming feed online.   • Diman Dental Assisting students ace the ICE

    Students in Diman's Dental Assisting Program outpaced national test takers in the Dental Assistant National Board Infection Control Exam (ICE) in Warwick, RI. Diman sophomores achieved a 94% pass rate in the 90-minute exam that typically has a nationwide 72% pass rate for high school post-graduates. (3/21/2013)

    One month after Diman’s Dental Assisting sophomores aced the ICE (Infection Control Exam), our juniors echoed the sophomores’ 100% pass rate when they all passed the Radiation Health and Safety Exam.
