Coming to your town: Construction projects done by Diman students
Students at Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School are taking the lead on two construction projects in the community, building an on-site restroom for cemetery workers in Westport and a building addition for a local nonprofit. (1/24/23)

Rockwool demonstration enhances building science knowledge
Thank you to Rockwool (@rockwoolna) for the building science presentation and demonstration. Expert Nick Stone did an excellent job expanding our students' knowledge of proper wall assembly design, thermal envelopes, controlling dew points within a wall assembly, and the pros and cons of various insulation products. Students were engaged and shown another career pathway in building science that now more than ever needs to be implemented to meet the energy code and create a safe, healthy living space. (3/17/22)

Retooled: Diman adapting to challenges of learning trades remotely
In this time of distance teaching and learning, trade shops at vocational schools face, perhaps, the greatest challenge. They, as well as many other shops offered at vocational schools, focus heavily on students working with tools and on machines. But with students, due to the COVID-19 crisis, locked out of the building and physically separated from their teachers, hands-on learning has largely been taken out of the educational equation. Diman SkillsUSA H.O.P.E. Food Pantry takes a bite out of hunger
When students Jesenia Delrosario, Savannah Carvalho, and Celina Andreoli began to research the poverty and homeless student population in Diman, they began to create a plan to tackle this problem. What started as a SkillsUSA community service project quickly turned into a passion and life changing project for these three girls. (4/22/19)

Single, foster mom winner of Fall River home built by Diman students
A single, foster mom of three children has her shot at moving out of her apartment and into her own home. Donna Handler’s number was chosen by lottery Friday afternoon to purchase a home on Duluth Street built by the students of Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School. (5/30/17)

Other than getting your kids more education than you ever had, home ownership is probably the most-desired piece of the American Dream.

Thomas F. Aubin has a phrase he likes to tell people: His city’s neighborhoods can reclaim their glory days one home at a time. That assertion by Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School’s soon-to-be superintendent-director took root Monday afternoon, with 37 Chicago Street in Fall River at long last holding an open house showcase. Swansea softball benched by Diman
The Diman Building and Property Maintenance program recently built five picnic tables for the Swansea Girls Softball League. The tables were constructed using pressure treated lumber and were designed to last for many years. (4/15/16)

Diman thanks Lowe’s for shop improvement
Lowe’s beheld the results of their financial support on Tuesday, March 22, when the new Engineering/Technology Center was unveiled during a ribbon-cutting ceremony in Diman’s Machine Tool Technologies shop. The new center was funded by a $25,000 grant from Lowe’s Charitable and Educational Foundation that was administered by SkillsUSA. (3/23/16)

Diman students' hard work shines through in cherry wood display holding model USS Massachusetts
The Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School students who collaborated to make a 6-foot-tall, 9-foot-long cherry wood display case with plaques and framed photos — out of what was previously a pile of lumber — had already seen their project mostly complete. (10/24/2015)
