Diman Hall of Fame to add nine new inductees
On October 17th at 11:30 a.m. at White’s restaurant, nine new members will join the Diman Hall of Fame. This unique recognition was created in 1998 to honor Diman graduates, retired staff, teams/clubs and community supporters of the school. This year’s class of inductees includes former graduates Paul Jennings (78), Michelle Pelton (09), Richard Magan (79), James Aquiar (89), James Martin (48) and Paul Amaral (80). In addition, other selections include the 1972 Boys Cross Country team, 1992 VICA Club Business Procedures and former staff teacher Henri Pare.
Tickets priced at $40 can be purchased by contacting Diman Hall of Fame committee members Edward Hill (508-965-8571), John Mullaly (508-672-2635) and Dennis Abdow (508-674-4552). Nominations are open for Diman Hall of Fame
The committee for the Diman Hall of Fame is accepting new nominations until April 30. To be nominated, former students (individual graduates, teams and clubs) must have been graduated from Diman for at least ten years. Nominations for previous or retired employees of the school must be removed from employment at the school for a minimum of three years. Community supporters can be nominated any time during or after their contributions to the school. (4/12/21)

2019 Hall of Fame Inductees
Eight graduates will be inducted Oct. 20 to the Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School’s Hall of Fame at the Venus de Milo restaurant in Swansea. The award is a unique, non-sport related recognition and was established in 1998 to honor Diman graduates, retired staff and supporters of the school. This year’s inductees, voted on by current Hall of Fame members, include graduates Jerald Greenhalgh, Richard Mancini, Stephen Marciszyn, Paulo Reis and Ron Rusin; former faculty members Rogerio Ramos and Lorraine Caine, and The Diman Bengal Education Foundation.

Diman Hall of Fame Accepting Nominations
The committee for the Diman Hall of Fame is accepting new nominations until February 28th, 2019. Started in 1998, this recognition is unique because it accepts nominations for Diman graduates, retired and former staff, and community individuals or groups that have supported the school. In addition, past inductees become future voters for this honor, not the committee. (1/4/19)

Diman receives more guitars from local groups
Ray Mullin Music and The Kevin Wright Celebration of Music have boosted Diman’s nascent music program for the second time in a year with a donation of guitars. The Swansea shop teamed with the local charity to donate four guitars and a box of strings to the program, an after-school club geared to teaching students and staff how to play the six-string. Guitar heroes at Diman
Members of the Diman community can be real Guitar Heroes on Sunday, November 6th (from 1-5 p.m.) when Diman will hold its second-annual Rockin’ For Scholarships fundraiser. The fundraiser raised over $1,000 for scholarships given by the Diman Alumni Association in last year’s inaugural concert, but organizer Tom Branco is convinced that this year will be even more successful. “We’ll raise a lot more this time,” he said enthusiastically. Local groups pick Diman for guitar donation
Recently, three groups came together to donate six guitars to Diman’s fledgling music program. The guitars were donated by The Kevin Wright Celebration of Music and Ray Mullin Music in Swansea, where a chance meeting with Tom Branco of Diman’s Alumni Association helped to connect the dots.
