  • Diman to undergo Tiered Focused Monitoring Review

    During the week of December 18, 2023, the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education’s Office of Public School Monitoring (PSM) will conduct a Tiered Focused Monitoring Review of Greater Fall River Regional Vocational Technical School. The Office of Public School Monitoring visits each district and charter school every three years to monitor compliance with federal and state special education and civil rights regulations. Areas of review related to special education include student assessments, determination of eligibility, the Individualized Education Program (IEP) Team process, and IEP development and implementation. Areas of review related to civil rights include bullying, student discipline, physical restraint, and equal access to school programs for all students.  (9/25/23)

    Diman Regional students get off-site hands-on experience in competition, win prizes

    n an exciting display of skill, creativity, and craftsmanship, Diman Vocational-Technical High School students brought their fire to the first welding competition hosted by Piping Systems Inc. in Assonet. The event provided students with hands-on welding experience, challenged their problem-solving limits, and rewarded their exceptional talent with prizes.     After a Somerset woman's father died she decided to give his room to a Ukrainian family

    Hard work pays off! At this year's SkillsUSA Massachusetts State Leadership & Skills Conference, 38 Diman students received a medal, while 17 students won gold medals and are heading to compete on the national stage in Atlanta in June. The gold medalists will be joined by three other students that earned spots - one as a state officer and two as voting delegates. (5/1/23)

    Congratulations to Diman's Business Professionals of America (BPA) team for a successful showing at their first BPA State Leadership Conference last weekend. An amazing 18 of 20 competing students won medals, with 12 receiving an invite to the National Conference in Anaheim, California in April. (3/13/23)

  • SkillsUSA District results 2023

    Diman is happy to announce that our students won 48 medals at the SkillsUSA District 2 Competition, held on 3/2/23 at Diman. Our students earned 20 gold, 21 silver, and 7 bronze medals. All 41 gold and silver medal winners, as well as state officer candidate Emma Shaker, will advance to the Massachusetts State Conference in Marlboro in April. Some bronze medalists might also be invited. (3/6/23)

    Students and instructors from Diman's Dental Assisting program attended Yankee Dental Convention in Boston on Jan 26, 2023. In total, 36 students and four instructors explored over 100 exhibitor booths to speak to dental professionals and learn about new products and technologies in the dental field.

    Donation to Advanced Manufacturing shop

    Diman is grateful for a generous donation from the Gene HAAS Foundation to students in the Advanced Manufacturing program. The ten students are from the class of 2022 and are working in the Advanced Manufacturing trade. Each student received a tool box and tools worth just over $900.00. (12/12/22)

  • Adams Scholarship Winners for 2022

    Diman is pleased to announce that 83 students have earned the John and Abigail Adams Scholarship in 2022. Recipients of the state-run scholarship program are entitled to 8 semesters of tuition-free education at any Massachusetts state college or university. Students earn the scholarship by scoring in the Advanced and Proficient levels on the grade 10 MCAS exam and scoring in the top 25 percent of that year’s test takers. (11/18/22)
