SkillsUSA States Success
Hard work pays off! At this year's SkillsUSA Massachusetts State Leadership & Skills Conference, 38 Diman students received a medal, while 17 students won gold medals and are heading to compete on the national stage in Atlanta in June. The gold medalists will be joined by three other students that earned spots - one as a state officer and two as voting delegates. (5/1/23)

SkillsUSA District results 2023
Diman is happy to announce that our students won 48 medals at the SkillsUSA District 2 Competition, held on 3/2/23 at Diman. Our students earned 20 gold, 21 silver, and 7 bronze medals. All 41 gold and silver medal winners, as well as state officer candidate Emma Shaker, will advance to the Massachusetts State Conference in Marlboro in April. Some bronze medalists might also be invited. (3/6/23)

SkillsUSA States Results 2022
This year, 18 Diman students earned a spot on the SkillsUSA Massachusetts state team, with 17 gold medals and one elected state officer. Diman also won five silver and two bronze medals. The students will attend the National Leadership and Skills Conference in Atlanta, GA on June 20-24. (5/30/22)

SkillsUSA Regionals Results
Diman is happy to announce that our students won 39 medals at the SkillsUSA District 2 Competition, held on 3/2/22 at Diman. Our students earned 23 gold, 9 silver, and 7 bronze medals. All 32 gold and silver medal winners will advance to the Massachusetts State Conference in Marlboro in April. Some bronze medalists might also be invited. (3/14/22)

Diman to send 14 students to SkillsUSA Nationals
Diman is thrilled to announce that we will provide 14 students to the Massachusetts team at the SkillsUSA National Conference. Students competed via Zoom or in-person at Blackstone Valley Tech on April 30th. The national competition will be held virtually in June. (5/7/21)

SkillsUSA Regional Results - Spring 2021
Diman is happy to announce that our students won 15 medals at the socially-distanced SkillsUSA District 2 Competition, held on 2/25/21 in our auditorium. Diman students earned 8 gold, 3 silver, and 3 bronze medals. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, only gold (and a select few silver) medal winners will advance to the state competition. (2/26/21)

SkillsUSA Fall Leadership Conference Results
The Diman SkillsUSA Leadership Team participated in the Massachusetts Fall State Leadership Conference last week (11/24-26, 2019) in Marlboro Massachusetts. All students competed in several leadership competitions and did extremely well overall. Students and advisors also participated in a community service project held at the MetroWest YMCA in Hopkington MA. Projects included painting, moving picnic tables, clearing brush, building fences, and repairing game areas. (12/2/19)

SkillsUSA State Success
Diman continued its annual strong performance at the SkillsUSA State Conference over the weekend (April 25-27, 2019), earning 54 medals, including 47 students earning a spot on the Massachusetts team going to Louisville, KY, on June 24-28. Those 47 students earned 23 gold medals and 24 silver medals against students from high schools from across the state. Click here for a list of medal winners. (4/29/19)

All in the Family
Elijah, Adam, Audrey, and Emily Moniz know all about sibling rivalry. Growing up in a family of ten kids, there was plenty of competition for attention. But these days, the competition isn’t about trying to outdo each other—it’s about working together to outdo the competition. This June 19-23, the four Moniz siblings—Elijah, Adam, Audrey, and Emily— will be traveling to Louisville, KY, to compete in the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference. (5/12/17)

Diman students show off their SkillsUSA
Diman’s annual march to SkillsUSA success began anew on Thursday, March 4, when they earned 59 medals (21 gold, 21 silver, and 17 bronze) at the District 2 competition held at Southeastern Regional Voc-Tech. All 42 students that earned gold or silver medals will advance to the SkillsUSA Massachusetts State Competition in Marlboro on April 27-29. In addition, several of the 17 bronze medal winners may also be invited. (3/7/17)

Diman student earns delayed medal at SkillsUSA Nationals
Hannah Amarantes was done with SkillsUSA, but SkillsUSA wasn’t done with her. A 2016 Diman graduate, Amarantes had competed in this summer’s SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference, where she had earned a strong-but-heartbreaking fourth place finish in the Medical Terminology contest. That fourth place finish turned into a bronze medal in September when SkillsUSA reviewed the competition and determined that she had, indeed, earned third place. (10/19/16)

Despite violent weather and fierce competition, Diman students thrived at the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference in Louisville, KY last week. The school’s 12 medals earned 20% of Massachusetts’ haul, including a gold medal by Isabella Rodrigues. (7/5/16)

Spring brings medals to Diman
Area residents know they can count on certain events every spring: the first migratory birds returning, the blooming of daffodils, and Diman Regional success at SkillsUSA competitions This year was no different. Over half of Diman’s 80 competitors earned a medal at the SkillsUSA Massachusetts State Leadership & Skills Conference on April 28-30 in Marlborough, MA. Diman took home 25 gold, 12 silver, and 9 bronze medals. In addition, Diman’s Shaun DaRocha won the National Pin Design contest and Brittany Batista was selected to sing the National Anthem at the state conference. (5/5/16)
