In the event it becomes necessary to alter the school day by cancelling, dismissing early or having a delayed start, the following procedure will be used:

Cancelling or Delayed Start:

1. Notification will be sent using the Blackboard Connect System
   1. This system will be a call AND a text
2. It will be posted on the Diman website
3. The RIBA system will be notified to send you a TEXT message if you have subscribed

Early Dismissal:

1. If you are IN SCHOOL and a dismissal is necessary, the INTERCOM system will be used, an EMAIL will be sent and the BLACKBOARD Connect system will be used to notify parents
2. If you are home and an EARLY DISMISSAL is anticipated, you will be notified with the Blackboard Connect system and the RIBA system and posted on the Diman Website

• Be notified immediately when there is a cancellation, delay or emergency message to your choice of schools, day cares and now offering parking ban information.
• Once you are on the RIBA home page, you will need to enter your cell phone number and your email address.
• Next you can select the schools you want to be notified about.
  • REMEMBER – it is broken down by STATE and then by school, so keep scrolling until you find YOUR school of notification.
  • Click the check box Make sure you click SAVE at the end
