    MCAS is a graduation requirement for all high school students in the state of Massachusetts. 

    Test Dates for 2023: 

    ELA - March 28 & 29
    Mathematics - May 16 & 17
    Science - June 6 & 7 

    Raffle prizes include noise-cancelling headphones, wireless earbuds, portable waterproof speaker, all-in-one wireless printer, wireless mouse, and a portable charger!

     

    ELA MCAS Preparation Program 

    Suggested For: 

    Students who are struggling with English Language Arts and students who have never taken an MCAS exam. Teacher input will be used to generate a list of eligible students.

    Benefits: 

    Students will enhance targeted skills geared toward improving their performance on the ELA portion of the MCAS exam, such as reading comprehension, question analysis, and the writing process. Students will also use TestNav, the computer software now used for this exam.

    Program Dates: 

    Saturdays 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. on February 11, March 4, 11 and 18.

     

    Mathematics MCAS Preparation Program 

    Suggested For: 

    Students who are struggling with Mathematics and students who have never taken an MCAS exam. Teacher input will be used to generate a list of eligible students.

    Benefits: 

    Students will enhance targeted skills geared toward improving their performance on the Mathematics portion of the MCAS exam. Attention will be given to reviewing key math concepts, answering open response questions, and strengthening computational and problem solving skills. Students will also use TestNav, the computer software now used for this exam.

    Program Dates: 

    Saturdays 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. on March 25, April 1, 8, 29 and May 6. 

     

    Biology/Physics MCAS Preparation Program 

    Suggested For: 

    Students who scored not meeting expectations or partially meeting expectations on their 8th grade MCAS exam and students who have never taken the MCAS exam as eligible participants for Diman’s MCAS Preparation Academy.

    Benefits: 

    Students will enhance targeted skills geared toward improving their performance on the Biology/Physics portion of the MCAS exam. Attention will be given to reviewing key science concepts, answering open response questions, reinforcing Biology/Physics vocabulary, and test-taking skills. Students will also use TestNav, the computer software now used for this exam.

    Program Dates: 

    Saturdays 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. on May 13, 20, 27 and June 3.
