Mrs. Mindy Gauthier
I am currently in my 21st year teaching at Diman. I have predominently worked within the special education department with students in our modified academic and vocational program. This program is currently being phased out while we expand our inclusion and co-teaching classes and has not been offered to students with disabiliites since 2018. I was appointed the department head for special education in the spring of 2018. I have transitioned in that time to my current role as a special eduction vocational consultant. As the Special Education Vocatinal/Technical Consultant I primarily work with the freshman exploratory instructors however, I am available to assist all vocational instructors in choosing and utilizing the appropriate accommodations and modifications designated for students with disabilities in their IEPs within the shop setting. In some instances students may require additional assistance in completing their OSHA certification testing. That support can be provided in a small group or individual setting with my assistance in a seperate or shop setting.
My Extra Help Day is Fridays, and any other day by appointment.
