Programming and Web Development Program Overview

  • The Programming and Web Development program provides a solid foundation in programming concepts, web development concepts, elements of software development, fundamentals of computer information technology skills, and fundamentals of cybersecurity. In our web development curriculum, students work with (HTML) hypertext markup language, (CSS) cascading style sheets, and JavaScript. C# and Unity are covered in the project-based programming curriculum. Our students also learn to use Blender and Adobe Photoshop. 

    Beginning with the 2023-2024 school year, students will be eligible to take multiple Certiport exams, including Unity.

      • Juniors and Sophomores are building websites for local organizations
    •  2021-2022
      • Seniors participated in a pilot with Unity and Meta to create a Virtual Reality exploratory simulator
      • Sophomores built a website for the Veterans Association of Bristol County

  • The Programming and Web Development shop is no longer accepting applications for the 2023-2024 school year. Please contact dboscombe@dimanregional.org to be added to the wait list for next year.

    • Business Professionals of America Results

      In its first year as an extracurricular activity, 15 students qualified to attend Business Professionals of America nationals in California. Six of those students were finalists in their respective competitions. (5/8/23)

    • BPA Conference success

      Congratulations to Diman's Business Professionals of America (BPA) team for a successful showing at their first BPA State Leadership Conference last weekend. An amazing 18 of 20 competing students won medals, with 12 receiving an invite to the National Conference in Anaheim, California in April. (3/13/23)
