On October 17th at 11:30 a.m. at White’s restaurant, nine new members will join the Diman Hall of Fame. This unique recognition was created in 1998 to honor Diman graduates, retired staff, teams/clubs and community supporters of the school. This year’s class of inductees includes former graduates Paul Jennings (78), Michelle Pelton (09), Richard Magan (79), James Aquiar (89), James Martin (48) and Paul Amaral (80). In addition, other selections include the 1972 Boys Cross Country team, 1992 VICA Club Business Procedures and former staff teacher Henri Pare.
Tickets priced at $40 can be purchased by contacting Diman Hall of Fame committee members Edward Hill (508-965-8571), John Mullaly (508-672-2635) and Dennis Abdow (508-674-4552). In addition, tickets can be purchased at Diman starting in September by contacting Jeanne Hill at 508-678-2891, ext. 1130.
The committee for the Diman Hall of Fame is accepting new nominations until April 30. To be nominated, former students (individual graduates, teams and clubs) must have been graduated from Diman for at least ten years. Nominations for previous or retired employees of the school must be removed from employment at the school for a minimum of three years. Community supporters can be nominated any time during or after their contributions to the school. (4/12/21)
Eight graduates will be inducted Oct. 20 to the Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School’s Hall of Fame at the Venus de Milo restaurant in Swansea. The award is a unique, non-sport related recognition and was established in 1998 to honor Diman graduates, retired staff and supporters of the school. This year’s inductees, voted on by current Hall of Fame members, include graduates Jerald Greenhalgh, Richard Mancini, Stephen Marciszyn, Paulo Reis and Ron Rusin; former faculty members Rogerio Ramos and Lorraine Caine, and The Diman Bengal Education Foundation.
The committee for the Diman Hall of Fame is accepting new nominations until February 28th, 2019. Started in 1998, this recognition is unique because it accepts nominations for Diman graduates, retired and former staff, and community individuals or groups that have supported the school. In addition, past inductees become future voters for this honor, not the committee. (1/4/19)
