What is the Diman Co-Op program, and what is the advantage for my son/daughter?
Our Cooperative Education Program is designed to provide an opportunity to further student’s education through an actual work experience, while gaining valuable employability skills on the job. Students are eligible to apply for the cooperative program in their last trimester of junior year and senior year. Students on co-op spend two weeks in academics and two weeks in industry working in the occupation or trade they have been studying in school.
Over 100 employers across Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island have formed a partnership with our program providing students with employment. Below are some of the employers that participate in our program.

What percentage of Diman students attends college?
56% of graduates from the Class of 2019 went on to attend either a two or four year college (see a partial list here).
What percentage of students from each town are accepted?
Diman will enroll students into grade nine based upon the following percentages as stipulated by Regional agreement:
- Fall River 76.5%
- Swansea 8.4%
- Somerset 9.8%
- Westport 5.3%
Can Diman students attend college without two years of a foreign language?
Yes! State colleges will waive the two year foreign language requirement for vocational students. Also, many students will take foreign language at BCC through our dual enrollment program. Diman offers Spanish, Portuguese, and American Sign Language classes.
My son/daughter loves sports. Does Diman have a strong sports program?
Diman offers interscholastic sports, a cheerleading program and an intramural program, sanctioned by the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA). Athletic facilities include the John P. Harrington Athletic Fields, the James T. Ashley Gymnasium and a Weight Training/Fitness room. What kind of extra-curricular activities and clubs are available at Diman?

Do students have to pass MCAS in order to receive their high school diploma?
Yes, Diman has the same requirements as comprehensive schools.
