Peace Poster Contest
Compassion in Action Annual Peace Poster Contest
PLEASE NOTE - Local submissions may be turned in to Michaela Gagne in Guidance.
Compassion is the understanding of a problem or the suffering of another and acting to solve the problem or alleviate the suffering. Students apply their empathy and communication skills to support one another through compassion in action.
The Lions Club of Fall River, in collaboration with the Fall River Youth Violence Prevention Initiative, is launching their annual Peace Poster Contest as a means of promoting peace and positivity. Creating peace posters gives children everywhere the chance to express their visions of peace and inspire the world through art and creativity. Students may draw, paint or use computer design to express how they will make the world more peaceful through acts of compassion.
