Michael Mosher | Advanced Manufacturing
The Advanced Manufacturing Program has named Michael Mosher of Westport, MA, as its Outstanding Vocational Student. A graduate of Westport Middle High School, Michael is the son of Joshua and Rebecca Mosher. During his time at Diman, Michael has earned Honors all four years. He is also a John and Abigail Adams Scholarship recipient. Michael is a member of SkillsUSA, where he earned a Silver medal in his sophomore year at the District Level in CNC Technician. He also placed Gold at the District, State, and National level in CNC Technician. This year Michael will be competing in CNC 5 Axis Programmer. Michael is currently employed through Diman’s Cooperative Education Program as a Machinist at F.H. Peterson Machine in Stoughton, MA. He plans to continue working in the trade at F.H. Peterson Machine Corp and become a full-time machinist.
Logan Estes | Automotive Collision Repair and Refinishing
The Automotive Collision Repair and Refinishing Program is pleased to recognize Logan Estes as its Outstanding Vocational Student for the 2023 – 2024 academic year. Logan is the son of Ryan Estes and Jennifer Patterson, resides in Somerset, MA, and is a graduate of Joseph Case Junior High School. Logan has worked on numerous projects that showcased his vocational skills throughout his tenure in the Auto Collision Repair and Refinishing program. Some of Logan’s achievements have been placing Gold in SkillsUSA in the Automotive Refinishing Technology competition during his junior year at the District level, and also receiving Honors in his senior year of high school. Logan is currently employed through Diman’s Cooperative Education Program at APC Auto Body in Dartmouth, MA, as a Refinishing Technician Assistant. After graduation, Logan plans to continue employment in his trade and further his education by enrolling in a training program to obtain his Commonwealth of Massachusetts Automotive Damage Appraisers License.
Jace Piexoto | Automotive Technology
Jace Peixoto of Swansea, Massachusetts, has been named the Automotive Technology Program’s Outstanding Vocational Student. A graduate of Joseph Case Junior High School, Jace is the son of Robert and Tabitha Peixoto. Jace received Honors in his freshman, sophomore, and junior years and High Honors in his senior year. He is also a recipient of the John and Abigail Adams Scholarship. Jace was a member of the basketball team in his sophomore, junior, and senior years. Jace is currently employed as an entry-level technician through Diman’s Cooperative Education Program at Toyota of Dartmouth. Jace qualified to compete in the upcoming Ford ACE hands-on troubleshooting contest in May along with a classmate by scoring in the top ten of the written troubleshooting test. He plans on maintaining his position at Toyota of Dartmouth

Victoria Costa | Building and Property Maintenance
The Building and Property Maintenance Program is pleased to announce that Fall River’s Victoria Costa has been named its Outstanding Vocational Student. A graduate of Morton Middle School, Victoria is the daughter of Carina Moniz. She earned the Crimson Merit Scholarship for academic achievements and leadership in her senior year from Bridgewater State University. Victoria received High Honors in her freshman and senior years and Honors in her sophomore and junior years. Victoria is a highly organized and self-driven student with excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic. She always strives for excellence in the quality of her work. Victoria’s natural leadership abilities and her take-charge personality allows her to achieve outstanding results academically and vocationally. Her initiative and meticulous attention to detail ensures that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively, contributing to her overall success. She is currently employed through Diman’s Cooperative Education Program as a Facilities Assistant at Taunton Federal Credit Union. Victoria plans to attend Bristol Community College in the fall to pursue a career in Accounting, and remain with Taunton Federal Credit Union while continuing her education.
Aiden Medeiros | Business Technology
Aiden Medeiros is the Outstanding Vocational Student for Business Technology. The son of Tiberio Medeiros and Kami Pacheco, Aiden lives in Fall River, MA, and graduated from Holy Trinity School. While at Diman, he earned high honors every semester and participated in dual enrollment. Aiden has received numerous awards including: Freshman Academic Excellence in Science, Sophomore Academic Excellence in History and as a junior, Aiden, placed fourth in the nation at the Microsoft Office Specialist Competition/Excel. Aiden is a member of the National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, Key Club, and Business Professionals of America (BPA). At this year’s BPA State competition, he placed first in Administrative Support Concepts and third in Management, Marketing, and Human Resources Concepts. As a SkillsUSA member, Aiden served as a voting delegate his junior year and will compete in Promotional Bulletin at the state conference. An animal lover, he volunteers at a local business -The Fish Bowl. He is a 3-year member of the football team and also joined Winter and Spring track as a sophomore. Aiden is currently employed through Diman’s Cooperative Education Program at Prima Care, PC- Radiology as a Receptionist. He has received several scholarships including the Providence College St. Joseph Scholarship, Bryant University Trustee Scholarship, and the John and Abigail Adams Scholarship. Aiden will be attending Bentley University and will major in Finance and minor in Accounting.
Madison Pereira | Carpentry-Cabinetmaking
Madison Pereira of Fall River, MA, has been named the Carpentry-Cabinet Making Program’s Outstanding Vocational Student. A graduate of Matthew J. Kuss Middle School, Madison is the daughter of Roy and Tanya Pereira. She earned High Honors during her freshman, sophomore, and junior years, and Honors her senior year while a student at Diman. Madison is also a member of the National Honor Society and received the Academic Excellence Biology Award her freshman year. She is a member of SkillsUSA and competed in the State competition for Career Pathways Showcase Industrial & Engineering Technology taking second place. Madison has also been a member of the Carpentry–Cabinet Making Advisory Board as a student member since her junior year and has also volunteered at Diman Open House to promote the program. Madison is employed through Diman’s Cooperative Education Program at South Shore Millwork in Norton, MA. Madison’s plans include maintaining her position at South Shore Millwork and hoping to one day become an instructor at Diman.
Allison Hydrick | Culinary Arts
The Culinary Arts Program is pleased to announce Allison Hydrick of Swansea, Massachusetts, as its Outstanding Vocational Student. A graduate of Joseph Case Junior High School, Allison is the daughter of Thomas and Charlotte Hydrick. She has earned honors every semester while a student at Diman and is a member of the National Honor Society. Allison also received Outstanding Achievement in AP Biology her sophomore year and received the John and Abigail Adams Scholarship. She is a member of the Yearbook Club, Newspaper Club, and Key Club while also participating in Food Science in her junior year. As part of the Key Club, she marched in the Fall River Children’s Parade and participated in Diman’s Trunk or Treat event. Allison will be attending Lesley University in the Fall and majoring in Early Childhood Education.
Brianna Cuvellier | Dental Assisting
The Dental Assisting Program is pleased to announce Brianna Cuvellier of Fall River, MA, as its Outstanding Vocational Student. A graduate of Westport Middle High School, Brianna is the daughter of Matthew Cuvellier and Amy Souza. She earned High Honors every semester during her sophomore through senior years and Honors her freshman year while a student at Diman. Brianna is a member of the National Honor Society where she serves as the Treasurer and a member of the National Technical Honor Society. She is also a recipient of the John and Abigail Adams Scholarship and participated in Dual Enrollment in her junior year. Brianna competed in SkillsUSA in her sophomore, junior, and senior years competing in Dental Assisting where she received a Bronze medal in 2023 at the State competition and Gold medals at Districts in 2023 and 2024. She will once again be competing at this year’s State competition in April. Brianna was a member of the Girls’ Varsity Soccer team in her freshman, sophomore, and junior years. In her spare time, Brianna enjoys helping in her community where she has participated in the Fall River Children’s Parade in support of the Fall River Relay For Life her senior year, read to elementary school students as part of Read Across America her junior year, and has volunteered at Diman Open House her junior and senior years. Brianna is currently employed through the Cooperative Education Program as a Dental Assistant at Ghenta Dental Group in Dartmouth. Brianna will be attending Bristol Community College in the Fall to pursue a degree in Dental Hygiene.
Sean Clark | Drafting
This year’s Outstanding Vocational Student for the Drafting Program is Sean Clark. A Somerset, MA, resident, Sean is a graduate of Mastery School of Independent Learning and is the son of Greg and Mary Clark. Sean has received several scholarships including Academic Excellence in Social Studies in his sophomore year, UMass Lowell’s Dean’s Scholarship, UMass Dartmouth’s Chancellor’s Scholarship, Western New England University’s University Award, and Provost’s Scholarship all in his senior year. While a student at Diman, Sean has received Honors in his freshman, junior, and senior years and High Honors during his sophomore year. Sean was also a member of the junior varsity soccer team during his sophomore year and varsity soccer during his junior and senior years where he won a participation award and a Diman letter. During his middle school years, Sean helped patrons pick food and deliver it to their vehicles as part of Annelle Delorme Hagerman Food Pantry. He walked for charity with the American Cancer Society, Walk for Cancer. He has continued volunteering in high school participating in an “I Am More” PSA video for Diman to spread mental health awareness and participated in a 5K to raise money for the Lions Club. He is currently employed as a Technical Drafter at Teknikor in Fall River, MA, through Diman’s Cooperative Education Program. Sean plans to attend Western New England University where he will major in Civil Engineering.
Shannon Denis | Electricity
Westport’s Shannon Denis has been named the Outstanding Vocational Student for the Electricity Program. A Westport Middle High School graduate, Shannon is the daughter of David and Francine Denis. Shannon received Honors in her freshman year and High Honors in her sophomore, junior, and senior years. She received the Academic Excellence Award in History and Mathematics her freshman year, the Academic Excellence Award in Physics her sophomore year, the Academic Excellence Award in Science, and the Society of Women Engineers Certificate in Recognition of Excellence in Mathematics and Science her junior year. Additionally, she was named a John and Abigail Adams Scholar. She will be attending Bridgewater State University in the Fall where she will major in Psychology.
Alex DeCoste | Electronics
The Electronics Program is pleased to announce Alex DeCoste, of Swansea, Massachusetts, as its Outstanding Vocational Student. A graduate of Joseph Case Junior High School, Alex is the son of Ryan and Holly DeCoste of Swansea, MA. When not in school, Alex volunteers his time by helping a local football team by filming and photographing games and collecting stats of the play-by-play. Alex was a member of the basketball team during his sophomore, junior, and senior years at Diman. Alex is employed as an Engineering technician at Maxon Precision Motors in Taunton, Massachusetts, as part of Diman’s Cooperative Education Program. He plans to attend UMass Dartmouth in the fall where he will major in Electrical Engineering.
Eliza Terrell | Graphic Communications
Westport resident Eliza Terrell has been named the Graphic Communication Program’s Outstanding Vocational Student. A graduate of Westport Middle High School, Eliza is the daughter of Steven and Sarah Terrell. Eliza received High Honors freshman, sophomore, and junior years and Honors in her senior year. She is also a member of the National Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society. Eliza received the Academic Excellence Award in Social Studies in her sophomore year and the Merrimack College Honors Scholarship, URI Presidential Scholarship, and Loyola University Maryland Dean’s Scholarship all in her senior year. She is a recipient of the John and Abigail Adams Scholarship. In addition, Eliza is part of Diman’s International, Photography, and Key Club. Eliza is a SkillsUSA member and has competed in Graphic Communications where she earned a Gold medal in her sophomore and junior years at the District level. She also won a Silver medal at the State level in her sophomore year, and a Gold at the State level in her junior year. Eliza also ranked in the top ten Nationally during her junior year. She also competed in Photography during her senior year, when she was awarded Gold at the District competition and will be moving on to the State competition. Eliza has also volunteered her time supporting the Graphic Communication Program at Diman Open House and Accepted Student Night. Eliza is a member of the Watuppa Rowing Center, where she rowed during her junior and senior years. Eliza is part of Diman’s Cooperative Education Program where she is employed at Carl’s Collision in Fall River, MA, as a Print Shop Associate. She will be attending Trinity College in the Fall.
Ava Pacheco | Health Assisting
The Outstanding Vocational Student for the Health Assisting Program is Ava Pacheco. A Westport resident, Ava is the daughter of Neil and Heather Pacheco and a graduate of Westport Middle High School. Ava has earned Honors and High Honors every semester at Diman and has been named a John and Abigail Adams Scholar. She is a member of the National Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society. Ava also participated in Dual Enrollment her senior year. As a Skills USA member, she earned a Bronze medal at Districts for Nursing Assistant in her senior year. Ava has been committed and involved in her community, serving as a Sunday School teacher at Third Baptist Church and volunteering in the Maternity unit at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Ava is employed through Diman’s Cooperative Education Program as a CNA at Catholic Memorial Skilled Nursing Home in Fall River, MA. She will attend the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in the Fall where she will major in Nursing on a pre-med track to become an OB/GYN.
Noah Sousa | Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration
The Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration Program is pleased to announce that Noah Sousa, of Westport, Massachusetts, has earned its Outstanding Vocational Student Award. Noah is the son of Claudia and David Sousa and was home-schooled before attending Diman. Noah has earned High Honors in his freshman, sophomore, and junior years and Honors in his senior year. Through hard work, professionalism, and dedication, Noah has maintained the highest HVAC class average in both shop and related all four years in the program. He has also volunteered in his community by helping to feed the homeless at St. Michael’s School food kitchen his junior year and was a volunteer at Diman’s Open House for multiple years. He has completed and obtained multiple trade-related accomplishments including the EPA 608 Universal Refrigerant Handling, LG Cold Climate Heat Pump Installation, and Dynamic AQS Indoor Air Quality Expert certifications. Noah has earned the Malco Head of the Class Award, Klein Tools Top Graduate Award, and a full scholarship to the Gould Institute from Family Heating and Cooling to pursue his Massachusetts Sheetmetal license. Noah is currently employed through Diman’s Cooperative Education Program at Family Heating and Cooling in Westport, MA. Noah will continue in his trade and work to obtain State licensure.
Emily Carreira | Medical Assisting
Emily Carreira of Swansea, MA, has been named the Medical Assisting Programs Outstanding Vocational Student. The daughter of Myles Cory and Claudine Carreira-Katz, she is a graduate of the Atlantis Charter School. She has earned Honors every semester at Diman and is a member of the National Honor Society. Emily has been a member of the Young Marines since 2014 and has earned the rank of Master Gunnery Sergeant. She has received the New England Marine Corps League Young Marine of the Year in 2023 and 2024 and Massachusetts Marine Corps League Marine of the Year in 2023. She is also a recipient of the John and Abigail Adams Scholarship. Emily has over 2,000 hours of volunteer work, including Relay for Life, Veterans Association, Marine Corps League, Fall River Veterans Parade, Wish Come True, and many more. She is employed through Diman’s Cooperative Education Program at Prima Care Cardiology, where she is a Medical Assistant. After graduation, Emily plans to enter the US Army Practical Nursing Specialist 68C.
Gwyneth Leverett | Metal Fabrication and Joining Technologies
The Metal Fabrication and Joining Technologies Program is pleased to name Gwyneth Leverett as its Outstanding Vocational Student. The daughter of Robert and Sara Greene, Gwyneth lives in Fall River, MA, and is a graduate of St. Michael’s Parochial School. Gwyneth has earned Honors every semester of high school. Gwyneth demonstrated her skills by passing tumultuous weld tests of various processes in multiple industry-standard positions not only during her time in the shop but also when she passed multiple weld tests at TACO. Gwyneth’s motivational skills and upbeat personality mixed with her determination to achieve a successful outcome in whatever she is challenged with gives her the edge that she will need moving forward. This is why the Metal Fabrication and Joining Technologies instructors unanimously feel she is deserving of this award and are all very proud of her. Gwyneth is currently employed through Diman’s Cooperative Education Program where she works as a welder at Taco Comfort Controls in Fall River, MA. Gwyneth’s plans include maintaining her current Cooperative Education Employment Position and gaining more skills in her trade.
Caleb Oliveira | Plumbing
Caleb Oliveira of Fall River, Massachusetts, has been named the Plumbing Program’s Outstanding Vocational Student. A graduate of Atlantis Charter School, Caleb is the son of Marcio and Ashley Costa. Hewas a member of Diman’s soccer team in his sophomore and junior years. Caleb is currently employed through the Cooperative Education Program at ACE–Amaral Couto Enterprise in Fall River, Massachusetts, where he is a residential and commercial plumbing apprentice. Caleb plans to continue his employment with ACE while attending Diman’s Continuing Education Program’s Plumbing classes to become a Master Plumber and one day owning his own business.
Lylah Thibeault | Programming and Web Development
The Programming and Web Development Program is pleased to announce Lylah Thibeault as this year’s Outstanding Vocational Student. The daughter of Kevin and Arianna Thibeault, Lylah is a Swansea native and a graduate of Joseph Case Junior High School. She is the recipient of the John and Abigail Adams Scholarship. Lylah earned the Academic Achievement Award during her freshman, sophomore, and junior years. Lylah has also received the Outstanding History Student Award in her freshman year, the Outstanding Science Student Award, and the Outstanding Math Student Award in her sophomore year. She has maintained High Honors all four years of high school and is a member of the National Honor Society. Lylah participated in the Dual Enrollment Program in her junior year. She participated in several clubs at Diman including Key Club, Theatre Arts, and Newspaper. Lylah is a member of Business Professionals of America where she was a 2023 National qualifier in Web Design Team, Fundamentals of Web Design, and a National Finalist in Prepared Speech. She is currently a 2024 National qualifier in Fundamentals of Web Design. Lylah has been the President of the local Business Professionals of America chapter in her junior and senior years, and she was awarded the Judith B. McInstry scholarship. As part of the athletic program, Lylah is Captain of the Cross Country Team, Spring Track, and Winter Track. Lylah has received the Sportsmanship Award for Cross Country and has set a 2023 record for 4 x 800 in Spring and Winter track. Lylah earned Mayflower Athletic Conference All-Star Honors as the first-place finisher in the Two Mile. When not in school, Lylah volunteers in her community at Forever Paws Animal Shelter, Miss Southeastern Massachusetts Scholarship Foundation, Citizens for Citizens Toy Drive, and Fall River United Way- United We Move. Lylah is a member of Diman’s Cooperative Education Program where she is employed as an IT assistant at RYCOMM LLC in Fairhaven, MA.
Hailey Helme | Practical Nursing

Hailey Helme of Wareham, Massachusetts, has been named the Diman School of Practical Nursing Full-Time Program’s Outstanding Vocational Student. Hailey is currently employed at Alden Court Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Fairhaven and Highpoint Treatment Center in New Bedford where she works as a certified nursing assistant. She plans to further her education through the Bridge Program at Bristol Community College to obtain her Registered Nurse license. Hailey’s long-term goal is to become a registered nurse working at Taunton State Hospital to aid in Mental Health Awareness
