SCHOOL DAY

The length of the school day is established in the collective bargaining agreements with the various school unions. The spe­cific opening and closing times of the schools will be recommended by the Superintendent-Director and set by the Greater Fall River Vocational School District Committee.

The Superintendent-Director is authorized to make minor changes in opening and closing times to simplify transportation scheduling; however, major changes in schedules will be subject to Committee approval.

Parents and guardians will be informed of the opening and closing times set by the Committee.  To help insure the safety of all children, parents will also be notified that students will not be admitted into the school building until the start of the official day unless bus schedules require earlier admittance.
