Sabrina Costa

  • Sabrina Costa Sabrina Costa* has been named the Outstanding Vocational Student for the Health Assisting program. A Fall River resident, she is the daughter of Victor and Cidalia Costa, and came to Diman from Atlantis Charter School.

    Not only is Sabrina an outstanding student, having earned a career 3.82 GPA and a class rank of 8th, she is also a star athlete - participating in 11 of 12 possible sports seasons during her years at Diman. This year she earned the Sportsmanship Award for varsity basketball, but her real strength is on the soccer field, where she has played varsity since day one, earning All-Star awards in her last three seasons, the Most Outstanding Player award in 2013 and 2015, and Most Valuable Player in 2015.

    In addition to her studies and sports, Sabrina also manages to find time for a variety of volunteer efforts, including being a member of the National Honor Society and participating in Diman’s Cooperative Education Program. Not only is she the Outstanding Vocational Student for Health Assisting program, Sabrina has also been named as Diman’s nominee as the Outstanding Vocational Student for the Massachusetts Vocational Association.

    Next year, Sabrina will take her considerable talents to UMass Dartmouth, where she will major in Nursing.
