This year’s Outstanding Vocational Student from the Dental Assisting program is Lauren Antunes. The daughter of Fernando and Maria Antunes, Lauren attended the Matthew J. Kuss Middle School and is a resident of Fall River.
Lauren played soccer all four years at Diman and volunteered at Diman’s “Give Kids a Smile” program this year. As a member of the Diman’s SkillsUSA Career Pathways team each of the last two years, she was part of a team that won district and state gold medals this year, and will compete at nationals in June. Lauren has been working at Well One Dental in Kingstown, RI through our Cooperative Education Program, yet has maintained her 3.3 GPA to remain in the top 6th of the class of 2016.
Next year, Lauren will attend Bristol Community College to study Dental Assisting.
