Noah Gouveia

  • Noah Gouveia Diman’s Carpentry/Cabinetmaking program has named Noah Gouveia* as their selection for the 2016 Outstanding Vocational Student award. The son of David and Heather Gouveia of Somerset, Noah came to Diman from Somerset Middle School.

While his GPA has earned him a spot in the top third of the class of 2016, his true strength lies in his shop skills. Noah’s cabinetmaking prowess has earned him enough SkillsUSA honors to fill one of his cabinets, as he’s earned district gold each of the past three years, won state bronze two years ago and gold medals each of the last two years, took 10th place nationally last year, and has the opportunity for more merits at this year’s national competition.

Noah has been generous with his time, giving back to the Diman community by volunteering with the Parent Advisory Council each of the last two years, as well as participating in the Relay for Life and several “Don’t Sweat It” walks.

Noah will move on to Bristol Community College next year, entering the General Studies program.
