SCHOOL COMMITTEE ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING

1. At the second meeting in May, the Greater Fall River Vocational School District shall elect by ballot from the qualified membership a chairperson and vice-chairperson.
2. At the same meeting or at any other regular meeting, the Committee shall appoint a treasurer and a secretary who may be the same person but who need not be a member of the Committee.
3. The Committee may appoint a legislative officer or any other officers not in the above section it may deem advisable and prescribe their powers and duties.
4. If a vacancy occurs in the office of secretary or treasurer, the District School Committee shall fill the vacancy by appointment at its next regular meeting (General Laws, Chapter 71, Section 16A.)
