Robert Sampson
-
The Automotive Technology program is proud to announce that Robert Sampson* has been named as their Outstanding Vocational Student. Robert resides in Swansea, and is the son of Robert and Karen Sampson. A graduate of Joseph P. Case Junior High School, Robert has been an honor roll student for all four years while at Diman.
Additionally, Robert has been a three-year member of the Automotive Technology Advisory Board, providing valuable student insights to improve the quality of education in the Automotive Technology program. In February 2015, Robert’s individual performance on the written portion of the Ford/AAA Student Auto Skills Competition qualified him to compete in the hands-on state competition being held at Universal Technical Institute on May 5, where Robert’s two-man team earned 3rd place, the best performance by Diman in more than a decade.
Robert is currently employed in the Cooperative Education Program, working as an automotive technician for Ron Nahas General Auto Repair, located in Swansea. Starting in September 2015, Robert will study Marine Engineering at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy.
