Richard Otero

  • Richard Otero Richard Otero has been named the 2015 Automotive Collision Repair and Refinishing program’s Outstanding Vocational Student. The son of Evelyn Perez of Fall River, Richard is a graduate of Kuss Middle School.

    He is a four-year member of Diman’s varsity football program, as well as a participant in both winter and spring track. Richard has also competed in SkillsUSA competitions at both the district and state levels. His Opening and Closing Ceremonies team competed at the state level in April 2015, and will compete in the national conference in Louisville, KY in June. Additionally, Richard’s shop projects won first place recognition in Diman’s Annual Trade Fair in both 2012 and 2013. He was also recognized academically for being Most Improved at History in 2012.

    Richard has contributed time to community service over the past three-plus years, working at the food pantry at his church while participating in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. Richard is currently participating in the Cooperative Education Program, working as an automotive detailer for Saccucci Honda in Middletown, RI. Upon graduation from Diman, Richard will continue his employment at Saccucci, while hoping to build a better future for his family and community.
