Erin Benoit

The Graphic Communications program has named Erin Benoit* as their Outstanding Vocational Student. The daughter of Raymond and Kathleen Benoit, Erin is a graduate of Westport Middle School.
She’s ranked #3 in her class with a 4.06 GPA, and won the honors biology award as a sophomore and both the honors trigonometry and honors history awards in her junior year. Erin ran winteer track, spring track, and cross country all four years at Diman, earning numerous coaches’ awards and sportsmanship awards, as well as a most outstanding player award for winter track this year. She has also been a captain of all three teams in each of the past two seasons.
Erin was a member of the NEAS&C Presentation Team, and is member of the National Honor Society, Yearbook, and Senior Prom. She somehow found time to participate in numerous volunteer opportunities, including Walk for Hunger, Miles for Smiles, Miss Somerset, Diman’ Open House, New Student Admissions Night, Meet-the-Teacher Night, and NHS’s Clothe-a-Child event. Erin also excelled in her skill area, taking first place in the freshman Trade Fair and competing at the SkillsUSA local and state levels for Advertising Design in her junior and senior years. She will move on to the national SkillsUSA competition in Louisville, KY this year for Advertising Design.
Upon graduation, Erin will pursue a degree in Marketing at Bryant University next year.
