National Honors Society Clothe A Child Program

NHS Officers Amanda Raymond, Rebecca Marques, Matthew Carreiro, and Ian Andrew are pictured above with some of the 65 boxes of new coats and outfits that were delivered on December 15th to the Salvation Army Headquarters. All 26 NHS members and over 30 faculty and staff members participated in the annual Clothe-a-Child Service Project. Every gift box, in addition to the coat or outfit,also contained a brand new, age-appropriate book for each child selected by the NHS. In conjunction with this annual project, the NHS sponsors the "Send-a-Candy Cane to a Friend" fundraiser. 500 candy canes were sold with the proceeds also going to the Salvation Army in the form of a large monetary donation. The candy canes were delivered to the student body the week before Christmas vacation.
