Dear Rachelle
By Rachelle Cassidy '08
Dear Rachelle,
My boyfriend and I have been together for six months. Lately I get the
feeling that he might be talking to someone else. We share everything so I
know his e-mail password. Is it okay if I check his e-mail account to see if
he's flirting with someone else?
-Feeling Suspicious
Dear Feeling Suspicious,
My advice to you is if you are close enough to know each other's
passwords, then you should be able to confront him about it. If you check his
e-mail you might see something you don't want to see. It's better to talk to him about it.
Dear Rachelle,
I am a sophomore, and my parents are really strict. I feel like my friends
get to do whatever they want, but my parents won't let go anywhere. I'm not
even allowed to date yet. I am so embarrassed and I want more freedom. What
can I do?
- Stuck at Home
Dear Stuck at Home,
My advice to you is to talk to them and ask them to let you go out. If you come home in time for your curfew, they might begin to trust you. As far as dating, it isn't really worth it. I would focus on being able to hang with your friends and get your parents to trust you.
Dear Rachelle,
I just turned 16 and I'm looking for a job. All of my friends say that places
where they work are hiring, but every time I fill out a job application they
never call me. I have no money and want to start earning some. Do you know
who can help me find a job?
- Jobless and Penniless
Dear Jobless and Penniless,
My advice to you is to apply anywhere and everywhere. Just because an employer
doesn't call you right away doesn't mean they won't call you at all. Also, ask you parents to help you look for a job. Ask your shop teacher. Ask anybody that you can to help you out. There are many resources available here at school, so use them.
