Diman Varsity Boys' Basketball Pulls a 180

If you were a student here last year, then you probably heard about Diman basketball's disappointing season. The varsity team went 0-18, losing every game they played. This season, they seem to be turning it all around. The Bengals have only lost one game so far, and are playing with a newfound sense of enthusiasm and team effort.

Mr. Steve Blanchette is coach of the Varsity team. When asked why he thinks his team is winning, he replied, "I think the players working on their game during the off season, and this shows their dedication." He also credits Mr. Stefanik and Mr. Santos for doing a great job during his one year absence from the team last season.

So far, the Bengals are playing their games with intensity, sometimes dominating their opponents. They have pulled off some close overtime wins. Whatever the case, they have been winning. We can only wait and see how far the team can go from here. "One thing the team and coaches never do is look past the next game," says Coach Blanchette.
