Congratulations to Otto Graham award nominee Shane Raposo! (ProfileSHANE RAPOSO, Diman: A superb running back, Raposo may leave Diman best known for his special teams play. He has scored seven touchdowns on kickoff returns. He started his career as a freshman quarterback but switched to running back because that's where his talents were needed. He was also a standout on defense.

Raposo is in the culinary arts shop where "quiet and respectful" are the traits he's known for by the teachers. Next year, he plans on entering an apprentice program, his only regret is the new school will not have a football program. "It has been a pleasure to work with this young man," coach Richard Vickrey said.

All-Scholastics: Shane RaposoShaneTo say Raposo is special would be an understatment, The leader on special teams, Raposo accounted for three scores this season alone by returning either a punt or kickoff return for touchdowns. In his three-year career, Raposo returned seven kickoffs for touchdowns and took back a pair of punts for scores. Raposo is also a Mayflower League all-star. | Manny FariasMannyFarias, at 6-foot-5, 270 pounds has been a force on both the offensive and defensive lines for the Bengals the last three seasons. This season is finished.

Herald News PreviewThe Bengals bring back three starters - sophomore Austin Campos, junior Mike Gamache, junior Alex Cunningham - back from last year's 4-14 squad.

Campos averaged 11 points per game but his greatest asset may be his pressre defense.

Other key players figure to be Cory DeMedeiros, center Bryan Yun, senior Matt Doiron, freshman Stanley Kay, junior Dan Cabral, and senior Tim Deschenes.

"This is a young team with not much size," coach Nick Santos said. "But we have an athletic lineup that looks to play some pressure defense against the Mayflower Large Vocational Division.

Diman is not scheudled to play longtime rival Westport, nor Bristol Agricultural, but has picked up Fairhaven and Somerset.
