2033 - CHEMISTRY I – is the study of matter and its changes. Topics include how matter is classified and organized, the discovery of and structure of the atom, how electrons are distributed in atoms and how this relates to chemical properties, the periodic table and its uses, ionic and covalent properties.

2063 – MARINE BIOLOGY – is an elective science course for juniors. This course covers the basic principals of marine science, marine organisms, and the different marine ecosystems.

2064 – ASTRONOMY - This course will cover the study of the universe beyond the Earth’s atmosphere. The content of this course includes the historical basis for astronomy, celestial timekeeping and navigation, matter and energy in the universe, the solar system, life cycles of stars, galaxies and the big bang theory.

2043 - APPLIED PHYSICS I – is a hands-on physics program that studies four unifying concepts and systems: mechanical, fluid, electrical, and thermal. Experiments include levers and pulleys, thermometers, and electrical circuits. This is a required course for most Tech Prep students.

2304 ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY II - is a continuation of Anatomy & Physiology I. It includes a study of structures, functions, and dysfunctions of major body systems. Topics include the Endocrine System, Blood, the Circulatory System, the Lymphatic System, the Respiratory System, the Digestive System, the Excretory System, and the Reproductive System. The microbiology of the systems covered is also included.

2034 – CHEMISTRY II – is a continuation of Chemistry I. Topics include drawing and naming molecules, the mole, formulas, percent composition, chemical equations and reaction, properties of gases, solutions, acids and bases. Chemistry I is a prerequisite.

2044 – APPLIED PHYSICS II – is a continuation of Applied Physics I. Students design, build, test, ignite, and analyze the flight of a model rocket as part of the curriculum. Applied Physics I is a prerequisite. This is a required course for most Tech Prep students.
