The Future of Diman: The Class of '09

Each year, Diman welcomes a new group of freshmen to their always growing family. Again and again we watch as the new freshmen find their way around school and as they become more mature adults. The upper classmen remember when they were the fresh faces at Diman. Soon the Class of 2009 will look back at their exhilarating freshmen year.

I myself am a freshman. I can already see a big difference in high school than middle school. So I decided to interview fellow freshmen, and see how they are making the adjustment to life in high school.

I first spoke with Amanda Carvallio. She feels that high school is very different from middle school. Amanda feels she has more responsibilities. There are also tougher decisions for her to make. Amanda enjoys the alternating two week cycle. It gives her a chance to explore her career opportunities and meet new people. Amanda says it's hard to choose a permanent shop because there are so many trades that are interesting to her. "It's difficult to find my place." Hopefully Amanda finds her place and has great luck in the remainder of her freshmen year.

So as you may know the freshmen have their work cut out for them. Hopefully students like Amanda and the other freshmen have a great freshmen year and great remainder of high school.
