The New Faces of Graphic Arts

There is another new teacher in our Graphic Communications department. His name is Thai Panayakul (Mr.P). Mr.P is the sophomore teacher and being in Mr. P's company has resulted in me learning what a keen teacher he is. He knows what it takes to make students learn the material he's trying to teach. Mr.P has an enjoyable personality, making students want to listen to him.

Get to know Mr.P and see for yourself the great teacher that he is.

Q: Why did you choose to work at Diman?

A: Diman has a lot to offer students. I would also like to make an impact on the students.

Q: How many years of experience have you had in the graphic arts field?

A: More than eighteen.

Q: How many years of experience have you had in teaching?

A: This is my first year.

Q: What got you interested in the graphic arts field?

A: The career opportunities.

Q: What's your favorite part of teaching?

A: The interaction with the students and seeing the progression.

Q: What's your opinion of Diman and its students?

A: Diman has a great program. The students have potential to grow and they have motivation.

Q: Did you have any hobbies in high school?

A: Yes, drawing, painting and physical fitness.

Q: What's something that no one else would know about you?

A: I had a pierced left ear and a ponytail in college.

There is another new teacher in our Graphic Communications department. Her name is Christine Cyr, who is the freshmen teacher. From my experience of being in Ms. Cyr's presences, she is a great teacher. She knows what she's doing and how to do it. She makes every day in Graphic Arts a worthwhile day for all of her students. Get to know Ms. Cyr and you'll like her too.

Q: Why did you choose to work at Diman?

A: I used to substitute here.

Q: How many years of experience have you had in the graphic arts field?

A: A lot

Q: How many years of experience have you had in teaching?

A: Nine

Q: What got you interested in the graphic arts field?

A: Working with Mr. Sousa (the graphic communications teacher) at Duro Printers and Pioneer Finishing.

Q: What's your favorite part of teaching?

A: Watching the growth of the students.

Q: What's your opinion of Diman and its students?

A: Positive.

Q: Did you have any hobbies in high school?

A: Yes, cheerleading and volleyball.

Q: What's something that no one else would know about you?

A: I used to be a bodybuilder. I'm related to Linda Blair and Bonnie Blair.
