It was a long sleepless three days, but it was all worth it. On November 19th through the 21st, seven students from Diman participated in the Skills USA Massachusetts Fall State Leadership Conference held in Marlborough, Massachusetts. Mr. Cabucio and Mr. Oliveira were chaperones. It was three days of not only trying to achieve a leadership pin and award, but also of being split up into six different teams to compete in various competitions with other Massachusetts teenagers from different schools. Two students, along with Mr.Cabucio, participated in the Live Community Service Project which was held at the MetroWest YMCA. They painted picnic tables, rebuilt fences, and raked leaves to better the community center. All seven students who attended are Diman Skills USA officers. All the students completed the training needed to be considered model officers for the school. It was a long three days but it was all worth it in the end. Everyone achieved their award, and we all felt good about ourselves!
