Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning

The Chainsaw Massacre Begins |
I can sum up this movie very easily: it is a copy of the original. If you've seen any of the other five films in this series, there are really no surprises in store. The first three minutes basically just shows the birth of Thomas Hewitt, the chainsaw-wielding maniac, and how he became the main villain in the film. Then the movie skips to a group of young adults, who strongly resemble the cast of the last movie, and who are traveling Texas on their way to enlist for Vietnam. Eventually, the group comes across the cannibals and one by one they are tortured and killed. Except for the increased amount of gore in this film, the movie is almost a carbon copy of the other films. If you've never seen any of the 'Texas Chansaw' films before, just watch this one and you will get the picture in just one sitting. I would give this movie 1.5 out of 5 stars.
